Understanding Our World Week and International Day
Thank you to all those who helped make “Understanding Our World Week” and “International Day” such a fun and enriching event. Special thanks to: Elisa D’Andrea for coordinating the whole event; Jack Cheng for coming up with the daily geography/world culture questions; Maya Meirav for the great programming ideas; Laura and Dana Silvian, Carlos Piedrahita, Diana Rodgriguez, Jane and Vivi Spitz, Caroline, Nick and Halley Wilson-Thayer, Heidi Gambino, and Glen and Charlie Weinstein for setting-up and cleaning-up; and Tracy Miller for collecting money for Heifer International and food donations for the Newton Food Pantry at the event. And thank you to Mr. Griffin for not only helping with the event, but also encouraging our kids on a daily basis to be curious and responsible world-citizens.
