It’s hard to believe that summer is already here.  Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate Steve Griffin’s retirement.  What a wonderful evening.  Thank you Elisa D’Andrea, Helen Haley, Elaine Whalen and Caroline Wilson and everyone who volunteered that night for making this a special event.  Steve will certainly be remembered and missed by all!  We wish him all the best.

Last week was our spring library gift book sale.  Thank you to Jee Baum for coordinating and to all of the parent volunteers who helped run the sale.

We would like to acknowledge Melissa Bernstein, Elyssa Freedman and Jill Roberts for all of the time and energy you brought to the 5th grade musical this year and in year’s past.  A big thank you also goes out to Ken Mignone, Elizabeth Graham, Meryl Miller, Edie Knight, Richard Leach, Elaine Whalen, Svet Levin, Liz Zygaldo, and Liz Beckett for all of your help with Oliver.

We would also like to give a huge thank you to all of the parent volunteers who gave their time and support during the school year to make Zervas a better place.  All of our events are run by parent volunteers and we’re lucky to have such an involved and energetic community.

Friday, June 8th — PTO General Meeting — please join us  at 8:30 am in the Library for the PTO General meeting to vote in the new members of our PTO Executive Board and view a video of the school flash mob from last week.  All parents are welcome.

Friday, June 15th — Last Day of School 12:00 noon release — Enjoy refreshments while saying goodbye to friends and teachers.

We would like to congratulate the 5th graders and wish them well as they move on to Oak Hill.  We look forward to hearing great things about members of the Zervas class of 2012 in the years to come.
