Principal’s Letter

Dear Zervas Families,

Progress reports will be sent to you electronically on June 13.  When you received your mid-year progress reports last February, there was a letter explaining how to access these reports.  For those of you who no longer have that letter, you will be receiving another letter next week explaining the process.  You will also be receiving electronic notification of class placements for next year sometime at the end of August.

And, finally, there is no way I can convey my heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the tribute you gave me last Friday night.  It has been a true pleasure to come to Zervas every day for the past 7 years.  As I’ve said before, we who work in schools are the lucky ones.  There is no better place to come each day.  Our 320 students fill our hearts and minds with so much joy and hope, that we feel blessed, as well as entertained and intellectually challenged each day.   Working in schools can be very  hard, but the rewards we feel and enjoyment that comes from spending the day with highly engaged and vibrant students makes up for all the challenges we face.

Thanks to all who came last Friday night, and a big thanks to that amazing group of hard working parents who organized every detail of the party in such a competent and loving way.  Thank you for all the presents- the beautiful painting of Provincetown by artist Michael Walden, the bird bench, the barred owl box, the bird books, the owl sculpture.  Each and every present will be treasured forever, as well as my memory of each and every one of you.

It has been an honor to end my career in education at Zervas, and I wish you all the best.

Warmly,
Steve Griffin
