Dear Zervas Family:
I am running in the upcoming 2013 Boston Marathon to support the Mass Eye & Ear Infirmary and to raise funds to help cure Juvenile Retinoschisis – we would welcome your help!
At the age of 3, our 4th grader Quentin was diagnosed with Juvenile Retinoschisis, a genetic bilateral eye condition that can cause a progressive loss of vision due to the splitting of the retinal lining, as well as a macular hole in his left eye. Although we were shocked, we also realized how fortunate we are to have access to the world’s best doctors and best hospitals. While there is currently no cure for Juvenile Retinoschisis, through this effort we hope to increase awareness and funding for research to develop a treatment, and to prevent any further loss of vision for Quentin and others affected by this disease.
We greatly appreciate your support – any amount you contribute will help our cause. To donate, simply visit: http://www.crowdrise.com/TeamEyeAndEar/fundraiser/brunomiquel.
I am honored to be associated with the Mass Eye and Ear, and I look forward to seeing you along the Marathon course on April 15th!
Bruno (Jess, Alexia, Kristen & Quentin) Miquel
