Due to the recent blizzard, we are cancelling the Winter Walk to School Day that was to be held on February 14th.

Organizers are concerned about the lack of snow free sidewalks, the icy conditions, and unsafe roads.  We will have another Walk to School Day later this Spring when we have safer conditions for walking.  If your family decides to walk to school during this winter please walk safely. Please also do your best to help neighbors clear sidewalks so all our students can continue to walk safely to school.

Clearing sidewalks and keeping them free of ice is not only the neighborly thing to do, it is the law.   Please use Newton 311 to let the City know about sidewalks blocked by snow, fallen branches and other obstacles and to help make Newton safe for everyone!
