The first annual Zervas March Madness Reading Challenge is underway! Each classroom randomly chose a top-ranked NCAA basketball team and will be representing that team in our own reading challenge. Students will keep track of the minutes they read (or are read to) each day on a paper log and then enter these minutes online once a week. Students in grades K-2 get 10 points for every 15 minutes they are reading or listening outside of school, and students in grade 3-5 get 10 points for every 30 minutes toward their classroom total. Times will be averaged each week and there will be a visual of the teams leading our tournament by the front door.
