Newton Serves: Zervas Grounds Beautification

Only two weeks left to pre-register for the NewtonServes Zervas Grounds cleanup and reserve your free T-Shirt! Bring your wheelbarrows, gloves and garden tools and join your neighbors in sprucing up the Zervas grounds.

The Zervas grounds clean up will take place from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm on Saturday May 3rd 2014.

We welcome volunteers of all agesfor as little or long as one can contribute. We plan to spread new bark mulch and playground woodchips, plant annuals, and pickup trash. It is a great way to celebrate the onset of Spring with your children while helping to beautify the Zervas grounds.      The Zervas community has participated annually using materials and supplies provided by the City and flowers supplied by the PTO to spruce up the Zervas School grounds.

To register please link to  Register online  and scroll to the bottom of the page to the Zervas Project.

Thanks and we hope to see you on May 3rd.  If you have any questions, please contact Ron Abel at abelwood@msn.com.

NewtonServes is an annual event of community service during which the City of Newton sponsors multiple community improvement projects throughout the city.

Other great opportunities to participate in NewtonServes projects include park cleanups on April 27th, 2014 at Richardson Park and Cold Spring Park.  Registration for these projects is also via the NewtonServes link listed above.
