More updates…

Celebrated author, Mitali Perkins, will be coming in to visit our 4th graders on April 29th when she will discuss with them the concept of “Life Between Cultures”. Mitali was born in Bangladesh from where the family was forced to leave their home when she was still a young girl. They finally settled in California, via Calcutta and New York. Ms Perkins talks to the students about how it was to grow up ‘between cultures’ in California having had the ‘push’ from her home country to emigrate to the United States. The experiences she went through have been the inspiration for her books, such as Rickshaw Girl, Monsoon Summer & her new book Tiger Boy.

If you are interested in meeting Ms Perkins, she will be hosting a book launch party at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday April 26th at Newtonville Books, please see below, the Zervas community is invited.
