My name is Maya and I am available to tutor on weekdays after school. I am a soon to be graduate from Lesley University with a Master’s in Elementary Education (1-6) and Moderate Disabilities (K-8). I work at Angier Elementary School as a Teaching Assistant in second grade and have worked in the Newton Public Schools for the past three years. My experience working with children in schools ranges from preschool through 8th grade. I have strong reading, writing, and math skills as well as a keen ability to adapt to individual student needs. I also have experience working with students who need support with executive functioning type skills. I believe in using a multi-sensory approach that involves games and other engaging activities.
