Zervas Cardboard Challenge
Saturday, January 4, 2:30-4:30pm
Zervas Gymnasium
Only a few days left until the first-ever Zervas Cardboard Challenge!
At the Cardboard Challenge participants will re-use cardboard boxes to brainstorm crazy ideas, build and test their creations, then play and interact with each others’ creations. Participants might make anything from marble mazes in pizza boxes to human whack-a-moles as well as robots, miniature dunk-tanks and life-size pod racers. The goal of the Cardboard Challenge is to create a fun learning experience that fosters 21st century skills like creativity, resourcefulness, perseverance, collaboration, and critical thinking.
We encourage everyone who attends to participate – kids of all ages, siblings, parents, grandparents, etc… there is no age limit on being creative! And if you have any cardboard boxes laying around, please bring them to the event (feel free to break them down for ease of transport). But don’t worry if you don’t have any, we’ll have plenty.
