Zervas After School Program-Open Enrollment Slots Still Available!

During this time of hybrid learning, ZASP is providing families with a safe, structured, enrichment program at Zervas After School on in-school days and at the Hyde Community Center on remote learning days.

All ZASP staff follow CDC and NPS safety protocols. We have also purchased a fogger to disinfect all Legos/toys after use.

At the Hyde, students are set up in remote learning by grade. ZASP provides Wifi access, school supplies, outdoor recess breaks while keeping students on schedule. Students sit two at a table. ZASP staff will facilitate children connecting with ZOOM and reminders to complete schoolwork, though ZASP staff do not provide academic instruction/coaching/tutoring. Social distancing, frequent sanitizing, hand washing and masks are required indoors and outdoors. Also, during breaks ZASP encourages peer interactions and offscreen activities.

At Zervas, students are currently separated in pods of K,1, 2 and 3, 4, 5. Students are set-up for their afternoon school meetings and proceed through their day.

We separate pods for lunch and indoor and outdoor free time. Afternoon activities include Lego building, painting on canvas, model magic and other activities. Outdoor play is scheduled multiple times each afternoon.

Given the social distancing requirements ZASP is currently unable to offer some of the previously offered activities such as theater and field trips.

We are not currently offering ZASP on Wednesdays, but please let us know if interested in Wednesdays. If we have enough families interested, we may be able to run a program.
