February 6-13: Zervas Winter Health Week – Walk, Roll, Spin, Yoga and Scavenger Hunt!

Walk and Roll to School: All week, February 8-12
Walk or roll to school, a park, or around your neighborhood. You can also participate in more ways, such as decorating a paper boot to hang in your window and looking for other boots on walks, play “I Spy” or Winter Walk BINGO from Massachusetts Safe Routes to School, or practice Walking like a Penguin, https://youtu.be/LHaWGibGwyk

Zervas Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt: February 6-13.
The route is one big puzzle! Your family can participate in this activity at any time during these dates. A special snack will be available on Saturday 2/6 and Saturday 2/13. If you have found a solution, you can submit your answer to get your name on the honor roll! We will include the hunt later so you can print it out at home or read it on your phone while walking. 

Cycling Class: Saturday, February 6, 8-9am
Ready to wipe the dust of your indoor bike and sweat to 90’s hip hop with your friends from Zervas?  Join spin instructor and Zervas parent Katie Britton for an hour-long workout over Zoom to support the Zervas PTO.  We will have all of your favorite 90’s hip hop – Marky Mark, Bell Biv Devoe, Heavy D and more – to get your heart rate up and put that exercise bike to good use.  All levels of fitness are welcome to join, but some of the lyrics are for adult ears only! Registration to follow.

Yoga: Friday, February 12, 9-10am
Please join Zervas mom Sharon Dinsmore, a 250 hour CYT, for an all-level Hatha/Vinyasa-style yoga class. Class will include some breath work, traditional yoga poses and relaxation. Zoom link to follow.
