Destination Dinner is typically our favorite fall community building event for Zervas parents. This event is always a chance for us to reconnect and get to know one another as a parent community. We need to reconnect now more than ever!
Since we cannot be together in person, we have organized the first (and hopefully last!) Virtual Destination Dinner, taking place Saturday, January 23. Choose a cuisine and be guided through Zoom by professional chefs from Create-a-Cook, right here in Newton Highlands. Once you are finished cooking, you will be placed in to a breakout room with other Zervas parents with whom you can dine and enjoy your meal.
For those of you who have not been part of this event in person in the past, parents start at one Zervas home for cocktails, receive an invitation to another Zervas home for dinner, and then reconvene later that evening at a surprise home for dessert and drinks.
While this does not fully take the place of us gathering together, we hope that you will consider joining us. We know there may be a few barriers:
- One more Zoom: No one wants another Zoom, but we all want connection. We promise the cooking demo will not disappoint, and you will have the chance to dine with someone outside your household!
- Childcare: We know it is not possible for most of us to have babysitters for the evening during these times. We encourage you to be creative – if you have a partner, trade off for who cooks which course; let your kids watch that movie they’ve been asking about. Yes this event is Adult-only, but we all know our kids are still home with us!
- Cost: Every parent who would like to attend to be able to, without cost as a barrier. If you would like assistance, please confidentially reach out at pto@zervaspto.org.
Get ready to cook, eat, and have a blast with the Zervas community! This is an Adults-Only event. Buy a ticket online by Thursday, January 14. You won’t want to miss out!
